Patna University Extends UG PG Courses Forms Submission Deadline

A day before this year’s Independence Day, Patna university extends the form submission deadline for UG (August 31), PG and Diploma (September 21) courses. Now, it is reported, the University may conduct the entrance test for admission in the UG courses in the second week of September.

In a Times of India report, On Monday, a six-member committee formed by the Vice Chancellor of Patna University (H.N. Prasad) and headed by the Principal of Magadh Mahila College (Shashi Sharma) has taken this decision.

Nearly 40,000 Students to Participate in the Entrance Test

This year, it has been reported that around 40,000 students are going to participate in the Entrance Test that is planned to be conducted offline because online exams are not feasible in rural areas. However, the committee has decided to increase the offline test centres by following all the social distancing norms.

Chanakya National Law University Common Law Admission Test 2020

The Chanakya National Law University has already accepted the application for admission to its LLB programme till August 14. Now, the Common Law admission test is likely to be held at 300 centres on September 7.

Birla Institute of Technology, Patna

The BIT Patna has decided to admit students to all its B. Tech courses based on the marks gained by students in Class 10th and 12th board. The Director of BIT Patna said, while selecting the students 30% marks weightage is fetched from Class 10th result while the remaining 70% is fetched from Class 12th. The last for submission of online application is August 21 whereas the admission process is believed to be completed till mid of September.

NIT and IIT

The NIT and IIT will admit students based on marks they score in JEE that is scheduled to be conducted by NTA in between September 1 to 6, 2020.

Aryabhata Knowledge University

The Aryabhata Knowledge University is also going to admit students based on the marks they score in their JEE. Admission to its medical courses will be based on the marks of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test. Students who wants to take admission in the Bed programme will have to give the entrance test to be conducted by Lalit Narayan Mithila University. The date of the entrance test has not been made public yet.
